Message from the WPCA President

Message from Fred

Reflecting on our recent Fall Seminar I am pleased with the positive
feedback we have received from those attending the seminar. Our
sincere thanks to Paul Shiring for once again providing his expertise in
planning and executing our seminar to ensure that members attending
would leave with a renewed commitment to meet the challenges in our
industry.

We were challenged by our key note speaker, Alan Creedy, to have
an open mind and look forward with vision to meeting the challenges
that have taken place in the cemetery business. He was very forthright
by emphasizing that paradigm shifts need to take place in managing
our business and it will take time and patience to make the changes.
Robert Coyner was a perfect complement to Mr. Creedy’s presentation
by providing a plethora of landscaping ideas which could be a part of
new visions for our cemeteries.

As you make these paradigm shifts I encourage you to share with our
association so we can communicate what others have done to meet the
challenges.

We welcome any feedback to meet your needs in the future. This
is your association and we value your input. Moreover, I encourage
you to invite others to join our association and look forward to seeing
you at our Christmas Gathering, December 4th, at the Monterey Bay Fish
Grotto on Mount Washington, Pittsburgh.
